Fog Peak looks out over the West Branch of the Matukituki Valley, near the edge of Mt Aspiring National Park — a wild, panoramic setting reached by a short helicopter flight from Wānaka, on a DOC-permitted landing. It’s one of the landings that stays beautiful right through the year.
Everything is included — the flight, your celebrant, hair, makeup and flowers — and I’ll plan every detail personally.

What does the package cost?
The Fog Peak package starts from NZ$8,430 for about three hours, with everything listed included — flight, celebrant, hair, makeup, flowers and photography. A second landing can be added on request. The NZ marriage licence fee is paid separately to Births, Deaths and Marriages.
Can we marry here year-round?
Yes — Fog Peak is one of the landings that works across the seasons, subject as always to conditions and the pilot's approval on the day.
What happens if the weather stops the flight?
We move to a beautiful backup plan at no extra charge — an alternative landing or a ground ceremony — and the helicopter portion is refunded if we can't fly.
Where should we stay?
Plan to stay in Wānaka — the flights depart from the Wānaka base, so being local keeps the morning relaxed and the timing easy.
Is a helicopter wedding safe?
Yes. I work only with CAA-certified operators and hugely experienced alpine pilots, and every flight carries full insurance. The pilot always has the final say on the day — if conditions aren’t right to fly safely, we simply move to a beautiful alternative rather than take any risk. Your safety comes first, always.
