Double Landing Heli Wedding — Cecil Peak & Earnslaw Burn
Two of Queenstown's most spectacular landings in one flight — ceremony on high, celebration in a waterfall valley.
The ultimate Queenstown elopement
If you want the most extraordinary day imaginable, this is it. A single helicopter flight takes you to two of Queenstown’s most breathtaking landings — an intimate ceremony high on Cecil Peak, then down into the hidden waterfall valley of Earnslaw Burn to celebrate. Two of New Zealand’s greatest landscapes, in one unforgettable morning.
Every detail — the flights, the timing, the permits, the photography — is arranged by me, so all you do is soak it in.

Frequently asked questions
What are the two landings?
Cecil Peak — the spot known as "Heavens Touch" at around 5,028 feet, with snow guaranteed in winter — and the waterfall valley of Earnslaw Burn, which featured in The Hobbit. The ceremony is your choice — marry on the peak or in the valley, with the other landing for photographs and a toast.
How long is the whole experience?
About three and three-quarter hours in total, with up to three hours of photography across the two landings.
Is a helicopter wedding safe?
Yes. I work only with CAA-certified operators and hugely experienced alpine pilots, and every flight carries full insurance. The pilot always has the final say on the day — if conditions aren’t right to fly safely, we simply move to a beautiful alternative rather than take any risk. Your safety comes first, always.
